As compared to other companies, Yahoo is really cool in terms of new modes of workforce diversification. Seeing people of different cultures and backgrounds, working under one roof, is an extremely impressive gesture but it also means that Yahoo is also open towards “letting” go of existing members and inviting new ones on board.

Recently, Yahoo appointed a new CTO/Chief Technology Officer and this time, instead of hiring an outsider, Yahoo just promoted the existing Chief Architect – Raymie Stata, to the new post. Whether, the former CTO – Farzad Nazem quit on his own, or he was “motivated” to do so — it is not known to anyone.

But what’s more important is the new role of Stata, which quickly came into effect as soon as he took over. Stata will oversee all Yahoos’ advanced technologies and he will try to give a new direction to the company.

From his previous experiences as SEO expert and developer of Yahoo’s advertising plans, Stata might be the right man for the new job. Yahoo told us that Stata will be working with Chief Product Officer – Blake Irving and Chief Scientist – Prabhakar Raghavan. Stata will be staying at yahoo for a long time, especially because the company launched the second phase of its campaign and the new user engagement project.
