One of the biggest challenges (apart from the usual copyright issues) Google is facing these days, is the declining demand of Google Docs. Apparently, Google got into a fix, ever since Microsoft Office 2010 was released a couple of days ago.

Google and Microsoft have now another score to settle and the recent release of Microsoft Office has just pushed Google to a nail biting completion, pertaining to cloud computing Vs Google Docs. All the more, Microsoft is also trying to squeeze into the cloud computing category with Google and since we know that there is only room for one rival at a time, so someone has to leave sooner or later.

The President of Google’s Enterprise Division – Dave Girouard is one honest and cheeky fellow as he jokingly said that when it comes to competition between Microsoft and Google, there is Microsoft and well…. There is Microsoft again!

Despite of his comical profile, he is still pretty serious when it comes to nailing down this Behemoth, known as Microsoft to rest of the world. He said that Google Docs is just like a newly born baby, because we have bigger plans for it and we are planning to release a lot of tools for people who want to work in an online environment.

So what is Google’s unique asset? C’mon guys, you already know it and you have experienced it before too… Well, no it’s not the Search Engine; it is this ability — known to us all as “the lightening speed” of Google Apps. You have experienced Chrome, and without any doubt it is one hell of a speedy browser.

So Google Docs is going to have a mix of speed and some sort of newly developed tools and features to give a hard time to Microsoft Office 2010. One thing is certainly clear that for now, Microsoft gained the head start thing, over Google, which has made things ugly and complex for the search giant. But lets see what future unfolds for us and for Google guys…
