HTC to Offer Branded Handsets in China

As HTC decided to extend its brand in China, the company introduced four smartphones. Among the new models there are two handsets that are equipped with touch-screens. They are specifically designed for Chiba Mobile Ltd. which is considered to be the largest mobile operator in the country and has more than 554 million subscribers. One of the handsets will be based on Windows Mobile operating system of Microsoft which is regarded as a high end model. As for other devices, they are mid-priced handsets that will run the Android operating system of Google. There are hopes that mobile device will be available in the market in September or October.

HTC is known as a maker of cell phones for other brands. The company has been offering its mobile devices in China under the name of Dopod. As the HTC’s handset became popular across the world, the company made a decision to make use of the brand in the smartphone market of China.

Despite the fact that HTC offers devices that can be seen among strong competitors as Apple, still its smartphone sales are small compared to rivals in the U.S.

The Evo 4G can be included in the line of branded handsets of HTC. Also one should not forget about the Wildfire as well as Desire. All these models will be available in China and offered by the mobiles operator such as China Unicom Ltd.
