Companies to Poke Their Rivals at All the Soft Spots
Midst a “healthy” sense of competition, companies just love to poke their rivals at all the soft spots. Take the example of Verizon’s “There’s an App for that” ad campaign that was aimed to mock Apple’s bundle of issues related to the iPhone 3 and 3GS.
It seems like the battle isn’t over yet; take a look at the latest full page Ad in New York Times. Verizon literally made fun of Apple by posting a picture of Motorola Droid X. The bottom area of the picture is filled in with these words;
And most importantly, it comes with a double antenna design. The kind that allows you to hold the phone any way you like and use it just about anywhere to make crystal clear calls.
And that’s not all, Nokia on the other hand already made an effort to make fun of Apple. (It’s another thing that the joke backfired) but it did its magic. You can try and log on to the official Nokia Blog to catch a glimpse of a Nokia mobile phone, being held in a customer’s hand. Underneath the picture, there’s a statement that says;
“What’s the best way to hold your mobile phone?”
Scroll down to see what Nokia had to say;
Realistically, you’re free to hold your Nokia device any way you like… and you won’t suffer any signal loss.
So far, Apple hasn’t given any official response to any of those companies, but who knows; maybe Apple will start the spark with some laughable lines against its rivals in near future
